I’m Lisa Callan and I’m running for state representative.
As a mom and school board director, our public schools are my top priority. With new investments headed our way, we need elected leaders with firsthand experience working in our schools to ensure students and teachers have the resources they need to be safe and successful.
Like many women, what I bring to the table is a mix of professional work experience, motherhood, and service to the community. I spent 18 years working as an engineer at Boeing and in software development in the tech sector. The Callans are a proud Boeing family – my husband, Bryan, is celebrating 39 years with the company this year. Becoming a mother meant changing course. I dedicated my time to my son, Riley, and to serving the community. I went from classroom volunteer to PTSA leader to Issaquah School Board director in just a few years’ time. It has been an honor to represent the community for the past five years, now in my second term.
I am dedicated to putting the people of our district first. It has been a privilege to talk with so many people across the fifth legislative district – hearing what they care about, what they worry about. It is through these open conversations where we find connection and opportunity to make meaningful changes in people lives.
It would be an honor to bring your voice to Olympia. I need your vote to get there.
